EMDC
Enterprise and Management Development Cell (EMDC)
The Enterprise and Management Development Cell (EMDC) is a consulting, training, and research unit established under the Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). In line with the EMDC Guidelines, 2026, the Cell functions as a structured institutional mechanism to extend KUSOM’s academic expertise to businesses, government agencies, and development organizations through professional management services.
The EMDC integrates academic knowledge with professional practice to address real-world management and organizational challenges, with a focus on evidence-based and contextually grounded solutions. The Cell primarily undertakes small-scale consulting assignments, capacity-building programs, and research initiatives that align with KUSOM’s academic strengths and institutional priorities.
The EMDC serves as a central coordinating body for consulting, training, and research activities at KUSOM, while maintaining clear functional demarcation from large-scale externally funded research projects, which fall under the purview of the Research Management Committee (RMC).
