MPhil (in Management)

The need for advanced study in management has been widely felt in Nepal due to the increasing demand for qualified management faculty needed by a growing number of academic institutions in the field of management for teaching and research and competent management experts to undertake consulting by industrial and business houses. Kathmandu University School of Management has offered a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Management to fulfill the gap of qualified and competent manpower needed by the academic institutions, business houses and the society at large. The program is designed to provide students theoretical knowledge and analytical skills needed to undertake teaching, research and consulting in academia and the business world.

Program Objectives 

MPhil in Management is a research oriented Master degree program that offers a student with substantial grounding in state-of-the-art academic knowledge in management with advanced research skills.  Students pursuing this program at KUSOM will

• Enhance their competitive edge in conceptual and analytical skills in management disciplines for advanced career in academics or other professions in management in specialist professional roles;
• Develop research capability in management disciplines for improving management knowledge, practice, and profession; and
• Build a foundation for pursuing the doctoral degree in Management.
